Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra Concert I: Russia

The Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 2012-13 on Saturday, October 13 at 7 pm in the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee. Music Director Nikolas Caoile will conduct the program “Russia,” which will feature pieces by Russian composers. 2012 Young Artist Competition winner Jenaesha Iwaasa will perform movements I and IV of Elgar’s Cello Concerto in E Minor. Also on the program are Borodin’s In the Steppes of Central Asia and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy-Overture. A complimentary Concert Prelude (pre-concert lecture) hosted by Nikolas Caoile will begin at 6 pm in the PAC lobby. Concert sponsor for the concert is New York Life Insurance.

Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1947, embarks on its 66th season, and third under the artistic leadership of Dr. Nikolas Caoile. Caoile is Director of Orchestral Activities at Central Washington University.
