Essential Grantwriting is a fast-paced class that will provide you with a detailed overview of the grantwriting process. Learn how to research new prospects for grantwriting and build an annual grants calendar. Walk step-by-step through writing every section of a winning grant proposal. Learn best practices for communicating with and reporting to grantmakers. Day Two: Proposal Writing on Friday, September 28 - $95 early bird; $115 regular price. Proposal Writing is an extension day to Essential Grantwriting to provide students with dedicated writing time to complete a full grant proposal with the assistance of an expert grantwriter. Learn to critically evaluate guidelines and requests for proposals. Tailor the grant proposal to a given grantmaker, review good writing skills, develop outcomes, and learn how grantmakers use evaluation rubrics to score proposals. These classes are perfect for beginning and intermediate grantwriters – those who have never written a grant proposal as well as those who have some grants under their belt and want to brush up on their skills.
