Wheeler, 62, has established, spun off or sold a number of companies and direct-marketed a variety of products - but he is best known for establishing Direct Focus, the Vancouver company that built and sold the Bowflex strength-training system (the company has since purchased competitor Nautilus and rebranded itself as the Nautilus Group).
