English as a Second Language Tutor Training

Support adults in learning English as a Second Language with the Literacy Council! Attend our upcoming training to learn how to teach everyday English to small groups of students. Volunteers teach three hours per week for four months. No teaching experience or language besides English is required. Contact us to learn more and apply to volunteer. The Literacy Council provides free ESL classes for adults, helping over 100 individuals improve their language skills each year. Our students are motivated to learn English to increase their job opportunities, become citizens, and communicate more freely with the wider community. Volunteer tutors teach our classes and keep them free to all who participate.
