Careers After School
There is a whole team of highly trained surgical support staff at Confluence Health that help surgeries go smoothly. Get an inside look at these exciting jobs during Careers After School and try your hand at simulated surgery activities.
Highlighted Career Paths:
Registered Nurse First Assist)
Certified Surgical Technologist
Surgery Support Tech
Anesthesia Technologist/Technician
Sterile Processing Department/Central Supply Tech
Hands-on Activities:
• Mock Laparoscopic Surgery (using a Laparoscopic Simulator)
• Mock Robotic Surgery (Play in the Robot Console and see the arms of the Robot move)
• Mock Orthopedic Surgery (Saw and drill into fake bone, apply plates and screws)
• Building and wrapping instrument trays in CS
• Gowning and Gloving for Surgery (Full surgical attire)
Careers After School events are free and open to 6-12 grade students, parents and educators. Light snacks and refreshments included. Space is limited so please RSVP via the ticket link below or to info@wenatchee.org
